How it works

Upload → analyze → contractor review → buyout

Four steps from documents to a purchase-ready material list — with a human in the loop before anything is ordered.

TrueTakeoff is built to be reviewed, not trusted blindly. It reads every document in a project, turns the scope into materials, and shows its work so a contractor can verify each quantity before the buyout.

  1. 1

    Upload

Add the Xactimate estimate, architect drawings, scope, and specs to one project. The AI reads all of them.

  2. 2

    Analyze

Scope operations are exploded into materials; repeats are summed across rooms; waste factors are applied.

  3. 3

    Contractor review

You review a trade-organized takeoff where every quantity carries the source line it came from.

It reads the whole folder

When multiple documents are uploaded, TrueTakeoff reads all of them and decides the compile direction from what's there: an Xactimate estimate is treated as the priced scope; drawings-only restoration projects generate a Scope of Work you approve first; new construction reads the full plan set.

Then prepare the buyout

Price the material list across your suppliers, see variance against the estimate allowance, and export a purchase-ready buyout.

Frequently asked

Does the AI order materials for me?
No. TrueTakeoff produces a contractor-reviewable takeoff and buyout. A person verifies quantities and pricing before purchase.
Does it read every uploaded document?
Yes. All documents in a project are read, and the compile direction is chosen from what the folder contains.
Can I trust the quantities?
Every quantity shows its basis — the source line and count — so your team can verify it the way they'd check any takeoff.
